• On December 30, 2009 the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) issued a notice of proposed rulemaking (NPRM), outlining provisions governing the Medicare and Medicaid EHR incentive programs. The announcement included a proposed definition for the central concept of “meaningful use” of EHR technology.
