AstralJet EMR / PM Suggested Requirements:

Minimum System Requirements
• Workstation configuration
• Processor 1 GHz or faster, 32-bit (x 86)
• 1 GB RAM or higher recommended for Windows XP SP3 – (2 GB RAM recommended if running Vista or Windows 7)
• Available Hard Disk Space 20 GB
• PC graphics - DirectX® 9 graphics processor with Windows Display Driver Model  (WDDM) or higher driver
• Monitor 1024 x 768 screen resolution or better • At least 2 USB ports on PC
• A Business Class Internet connection providing a download capacity of 6Mbps and between 512k and 1Mbps on upload

Network requirements
• The client’s workstations will need access to a local area network. A standard 10mb or above Ethernet network, or a secure wireless network would suffice

Peripherals requirements
- Printers
• Windows compliant laser printer

- Scanners
• TWAIN-compliant full-sheet scanner
• Optional: Card scanner for insurance cards
• Should have a local connection to the PC (not network only) NOTE: Avoid all-in-one machines (print/fax/scan)

Software requirements
• Windows 7, Windows Vista (SP2) or Windows XP (SP3) operating system (business versions preferred; Windows Server editions are not supported)
• Microsoft Windows User Account Type: administrator or power users (This is needed for occasional Windows system updates, e.g. ActiveX, to properly allow the AstralJet application environment to be properly updated)
• Windows .NET framework 3.5 plus Service Pack 1 – This .NET framework automatically ships in Windows 7. For Windows Vista or XP you must download a copy from Microsoft at http://www.microsoft.com/Net/Download.aspx.

ClickOnce and Web Browser Compatibility
Currently, ClickOnce installations will launch only if the URL to the deployment manifest is opened using Internet Explorer. A deployment whose URL is launched from another application, such as Microsoft Office Outlook, will launch successfully only if Internet Explorer is set as the default.

Note: Mozilla Firefox is supported if the deployment provider is not blank or the Microsoft .NET Framework Assistant extension is installed. This extension is packaged with .NET Framework 3.5 SP1. For XBAP (XAML Browser Application ) support, the NPWPF plug-in is activated when needed.

Anti-Virus software should be installed and running on each computer that uses AstralJet software.  The Anti-Virus software should be kept up-to-date by downloading the current updates from the vendor at least once a month.

Optional: Dragon Naturally Speaking (DNS) software and appropriate microphone / headphone hardware for voice recognition input into SOAP Notes. This is a customer purchase item.i
